Delay: Shipment pulled for X-Ray inspection

Hi Reader,

Quick update on manufacturing run #2 for all those who have preorders:

Most of the mechanical parts come from China.  The container they were put in was pulled for random x-ray when it arrived in LA a few days ago.  The shipping agent has told me the inspection is ongoing and there is a delay exiting the port in Los Angeles.  I’ll update you again when I know more, but this is pushing back the delivery date for Mooshimeter run #2.

Also, I’d like to plug our shipping agents, as they’ve been very helpful and responsive both on manufacturing run #1 and #2.  If you need to get stuff from point A to point B, Brad and Adam of InXpress are your guys.

Thanks

~James

Is there a chance to get an information if you got my order?
You pulled my money from my account but never confirmed
    a chance of delivering.

      Hi Uli,

We charged the pre-orders to pay for manufacturing. The reason the pre-orders get a $20 discount is because they are charged in advance of actual shipping – sorry if that wasn’t clear. My best estimate for shipping right now is 3-4 weeks away. I just heard that our shipment of mechanical parts cleared customs and should be at the subcontractors’ by the 25th.
