difficulties to acquire a thermocouple are clear, but this was a planned feature for mooshimeter (see page on dragoninnovation) and to be honest one of main reasons for me to buy this device.
PS. Cold junction compensation is hw wise simple, mooshimeter has an embedded thermosensor on pcb.
