What about the issue where it stops logging when the app on the phone is no longer in the foreground? (might be related w/ the forced disconnect though it did run for over 4 minutes before it stopped logging)

I don’t mind having to do post-processing of the data logged if it would improve the accuracy and ability to log that much.

On a side note, perhaps in a future revision, magnets in the case would be nice (some DMMs already have this) as well as ability to power it externally and snap-case or thumbscrews (…anodized aluminum w/ embedded magnets? :D )
