This is my second time posting this, the first time doesn’t appear to have shown up in 36 hours. Sorry if it’s a duplicate.

I went through the wake up procedure. My meter is blinking once every 10 seconds or so. I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE running Android 4.4.4. The phone has no problem connecting to my other bluetooth devices, although none of them are BLE.

In the Mooshimeter app I can see Mooshimeter V.1, Build 1426035947, Rssi: between -20 and -70 depending on distance. When I hit connect the LED comes on for a second. The screen says “Connecting…” for several seconds followed by “Connect failed. Status: 129” followed immediately by “Connection timed out.” I can successfully pair it in bootloader mode, but I can’t do anything except update the firmware which I’ve already done with another phone.

Going through the OS, I can see an available device, “Mooshimeter V.1” When I press it the phone says “Pairing…” and the Mooshimeter LED comes on for a second, then Mooshimeter V.1 goes back to being an available device in the list. I assume pairing failed.

The Mooshimeter shows up in Bluetooth 4.0 Explorer. When I hit connect it says Connected and No data for a few seconds then disconnects again.

I have a similar problem pairing with a Dell Venue 8 Pro running Windows 8.1. Sometimes it will immediately fail, and sometimes the LED will come on for a few seconds and it will ask for a passcode before failing. Code 0000 seemed to give it a couple extra seconds before failing. This was just academic, of course, since there it’s not really supposed to work with Windows… yet.

I don’t know what firmware the meter shipped with. The Mooshimeter seems fully functional with a friend’s Nexus 4 phone running Android 5.0. I installed the app and went through the firmware update procedure in the hopes that it would fix the connection to my phone. There is no apparent difference.

Has anyone had luck with a GS4 and 4.4.4? What about Android 5.0 or Cyanogenmod on a GS4?

      Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, it works with an update to Android 5.0. A factory refresh on 4.4.4 did not work. Bluetooth won’t turn off, but that’s a different issue.

Glad you got it working! Let us know if something else comes up.
