GuestMy Mooshimeter is stuck at Build 1421369173, and won’t update. I can connect to it from my phone and the data all seems reasonable and it behaves normally (except the logging apparently doesn’t work, maybe this firmware build is too old for that?), but I never get any prompts to update the firmware. I’ve tried un/reinstalling the app, hybernating/resuming the Mooshimeter, resetting the Mooshimeter, etc., but I never get prompted for a firmware update.
I’m on an iPhone 6S running iOS 9.1, app version 1.06(215). I see that only iOS 7 and 8 are officially supported, could that be why?

GuestI just tried on a coworker’s iPhone 4 running iOS 8, and it did the same thing. Connected without issue, streamed reasonable looking data, but no prompts for a firmware update.
What is the latest firmware build anyway? I keep seeing posts about new firmware being released, but I never see any build numbers associated with them?

KeymasterHi Adam,
To update the firmware you must do a hard reset of the meter and connect to it while it’s still in bootloader mode (indicated by long slow LED flashes). You can see it demonstrated in this video. Please ignore the audio though, the commentary is out of date.
The latest firmware build is 1447458797. You’re right, I should start including the version numbers. I overlooked it because the version number is actually an epoch time (seconds since 1970), so 1447458797 is a little before midnight GMT on Fri. 13 2015, and in my mind people users would recognize that as an indication of the freshness of the firmware. But now that you’ve made me think back on it, I don’t think that’s apparent to anyone.
Regarding iOS version: iOS9 is fine, I will update that section of the FAQ.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, please let me know if other issues come up! Best,
~James
