Is it possible to have the graph scroll? The pattern of the readings is hard to read for measurements lasting 10 or 20 minutes.

On iOS touch zooming and scrolling should be working. On Android it wasn’t built in to the graphing library I used so I haven’t added it yet.
If you have Android recommendations for a solid graphing library let me know, otherwise I might try to add it to the GraphView project (which is also open source, like the Mooshimeter Android App)

Graphing in iOs seems to be a work in progress.
It appears if I touch the screen the graphing stops, and then I can scroll to a certain extent. However, the scale does not seem to survive.
Was hoping to be able to scroll “live” and not reset the capture by touching in the wrong place.
Or maybe my assumptions are all wrong.

Tapping the screen will pause the trend mode. Tapping again will make it play again. You’re not the only one who didn’t magically intuit this, I think the functionality should move to a labeled button (it already has on the Android app)
Scrolling live data is a little more complex because this involves adding another “mode”, which is that the view window is not attached to the end of the graph but the graph is not refreshing. Right now I’m inclined to leave it so you have to pause to scroll because I can’t think of an elegant way through the details of that interaction. But I’m inclined to switch graphing libraries entirely soon because directional zooming is not well supported right now. Let me know if you have a specific graphing library to recommend or an example of what the interaction should look like.

Maybe I still am not doing it right.
When I touch to resume it resets.
(It is also “locked” in portrait mode)
When I zoom in the scale changes as expected. However, what I would usually want to do is zoom out so the scale starts from zero (imitating an oscilloscope). This would give a realistic overall view of the voltage.
(I have a pet peeve with graphs that have no zero)

The strongest selling point of this tool is the graphing capabilities, but the constant auto scale adjustment is not useful for technicians. I think the auto scaling is more for the DIY crowd who don’t know what settings to use.
In order for this tool to be more useful for real techs, it should have settings like an oscilloscope and it should display the data like an oscilloscope does. Nothing fancy necessarily. Just the basic settings of time/division and volts/division, then display it like an oscilloscope would.
The best way I can describe what we need the graph display to look like is to make it as similar to how an oscilliscope displays data.

Acknowledged – thanks Steven. I’ve started bringing in outside expertise to improve the apps, hopefully I can push some major updates soon. Manual ranging is definitely on the list.

Still a few things I have to apologize for when showing the app.
1. No landscape view
2. Cannot resume from a pause (resets)
3. Scaling is crazy

Any of the audio apps by Andrew Smith (Studio Six Digital)
He gives the option to set the range of the scale and either zero or zoom to a range.
Gives you a sliding bar to give the exact value at the intersection point.
It is a genuine pleasure to use.
