“downloaded software” seems a bit strange way to say you installed an app from playstore.. Try that link and please tell us what you did at first try!

Mooshimeter does not need even a code for bluetooth pairing, it should just work. If there seems to be some problems between app and mooshimeter, you should reset mooshimeter by pushing reset button next to memorycard and kill the app on your phone by swiping it away from recently used apps menu.
