Depends on your measurement (polling interval, write cycles, etc.), range would be between two weeks and four month.

It’s not possible to password/pin protect the mooshimeter with the current firmware.

I’ve the same issue, but it’s not a real problem for me, I need to be a little bit careful when closing the case.

In such cases, restart the Mooshimeter (reset, removing the cells) and restart the app (via the task manager). Which LED blink pattern do you see.

Measuring cell voltage, without a load, makes no sense. Put a small load (20 Ohms e.g.) to the cell when measuring.

Regarding the update loop, it can be caused by empty cells, but there is also a problem with the android app, seems a caching problem. Kill the app completely from the memory (using the task manager, clear the cache), then start the app again.

I’m using my mooshimeter for years now, I run into such problems many times. It’s a very good tool, but it’s still beta, there a many small issues which the user have to know.

Don’t start the firmware upload, it’s not necessary. You need to kill the app via the task manager. If not, the App has still the wrong status and ask again for firmware upload. It’s a common problem, occurs sometimes.

Reinserting of the header will occur when the battery is almost at the end.

I made a short test, seems that the “signal strength bar indicator” is not updated after the mooshimeter was connected to the phone. I can walk through my apartment and the value is not changing.

Instead of the bars, you can use the “connection screen” which shows the RSSI value. The best value I can get is -24 dBm in one specific position (probably where the antennas of phone and mooshimeter are close together), when turning the phone at 180°, RSSI will jump to -40 dBm and less.

I can confirm that the 600s logging with 1522204715 was working like expected. Firmware update was problematic, I need many tries and only the legacy mode was working (even if my phone was running Android 8.1).

    Wow, reasonable analysis.

Regarding the 60s timestamps, when I wrote about time steps, I mean that I notice a drift in longer periods (days).

I’m using 60s interval most of the time, it’s stable so far, but sometimes it steps a little bit more than 60s. Seems that the logging is using something like a sleep/delay() function and not an alarm (maybe not possible).

It would be interesting to know if IOS user have the same problem with the 600s interval, maybe it’s only the Android App which is sending wrong data to the mooshimeter.

Just some minutes ago, I run into the same problem (which I’ve reported one year ago), I can still not use a log interval of 10 minutes. Firmware is the same, Android App is 1.0.38 (2214).

    Anyone can confirm this?

I would prefer to have a permanent display of min/max/avg and a button to reset/clear them. This is like my other DMM, where I can read the min, max and avg (mean) values after some minutes of measuring.

The iPad 2 will not work, your phone/pad need to support Bluetooth 4.0 with BLE. But iPhone 6 should (with iOS 8).
